March 26, 2008 -  Construction to Begin on West Meadows Raceway

Construction will soon begin on West Meadows Raceway in Regina as planned early in April. Support has been strong for the new permanent racing facility and in just a few months, through the efforts of many, more than half of the required funding has been raised. A special thank you goes out to those members who have already purchased shares. I hope you had the chance to read the inspiring story on the new track in the February issue of TROT magazine (the link is attached here)

Adding a third track to the circuit (which also includes Yorkton and Saskatoon) and building a permanent place to race will help secure the future of harness racing in the province.
